Dr (Lt Col) Sreenivas Mukkamala is a senior consultant neurosurgeon with extensive exprience in brain, spine and peripheral nerve surgeries. He has done his MBBS from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune and MS (General surgery) from Army Hospital (Research & Referral), Delhi University. He has performed more than 3000 surgeries after completing MCh(Neurosurgery) from prestigious AIIMS, New Delhi. He has expertise in Endoscopic and minimally invasive spine and brain surgery including pituitary surgery, complex spinal surgery including congenital spinal dysraphism/ scoliosis/ Craniovertebral junction anomalies, navigation guided brain tumor surgery, hydrocephalus and paediatric neurosurgery. I don’t think me or my family can ever be thankful enough for Dr. Sreenivas Mukkamala Sir, for saving my sister’s life. My sister was a victim of a serious hit-and-run accident. She was the pillion rider and fell to her right side. No one knew the impact of her fall or the extent of her injuries at the time of impact. But in the emergency ward itself, a Code Blue was initiated, and she was given immediate attention, they didn't waste any time sorting stuff and issues. We were told that she needed an urgent cranioscopy (taking out a part of her skull) for her vitals to stabilize and were just told that her operating neurosurgeon would be Dr. Sreenivas Mukkamala Sir . He arrived as a blessing to us at such a critical hour. He operated on my sister and kept us positive on her progress. Her stay in the ICU too was taken care off very well. Dr. Sreenivas Mukkamala Sir answered all our questions during the most anxious days of our lives. Nonetheless his optimism and assurance always comforted us and re-assured us that she is in the right hands. He is a highly skilled doctor and knows what he is doing. I had a medical emergency for my Grandfather and after two days of ICU treatment doctors from multiple hospitals at my home town gave up and asked to shift him to a good hospital in Hyderabad. I have my cousin working at Hyderabad Srikara Hospital and shifted him there. Interesting thing was after the reports were evaluated this case identified to be MODS (Multiple Organ Deficiency Syndrome) & Blood Poisoning and nothing was wrong with Neuro functioning. But we wanted to continue with Dr.Srinivas Garu as we could build a great trust on this doctor by that time who also executed all the Intensive care operations very well. He used to monitor all the organ functionalities time to time and used to engage concerned & specialist doctors whenever required along with montioring Neuro functionalities. It was a fantastic experience talking to him and understanding the medical things. I consulted the doctor for my mothers lower back pain issue and hip joint pain issue in mid of 2020. CT, MRI scans hasn't reveal anything about the hip joint and shown as normal. But doctor physically diagnosed and suggested treatment for inflammation. Pain started reducing and the issue completely gone within one month.
